Volume is a measure of how much space a box takes up. The
volume of a box is the product of its length, width, and height.
Example:
42’(L) × 29’(W) × 25’(H) = 30450 cu in (in3)
In Air Freight business we need to convert this value (space a box takes up) in
weight.
To find the value in Lbs we need to divide it by 166 or for Kgs divide it by
366.
Example:
42’ × 29’ × 25’ = 30450 / 166 = 183.44 Lbs
42’ × 29’ × 25’ = 30450 / 366 = 83.20 Kgs
